Entrance Scholarships

Students enrolling in the Fall Intake of the Experiential Business Program, Experiential Computing Program and Experiential Liberal Arts Program fall under this category.

Ultra-Achiever
Eligibility: 95% and above
Amount (INR): 1,50,000

Hih-Achiever
Eligibility: 90%-94.99%
Amount (INR): 1,25,000

Strong Academic Standing
Eligibility: 85%-89.99%
Amount (INR): 1,00,000

Young Achiever
Eligibility: 80%-84.99%
Amount (INR): 75,000

Co-Curricular Excellence
Eligibility: 75% and above with co-curricular accolades required
Amount (INR): 50,000

  • This category is not restricted to any specific program.
  • Limited seats for each level of the scholarship.
  • The category will be awarded on first cum first serve basis.
  • Student must have a required score for the respective category of the scholarship in 5 subjects in grade 12 (English mandatory).
  • In case of a tie, Fraser Valley India reserves the right to take the final decision.

Additional documentation is required for the Co-Curricular Excellence category. Submit any of the following documents as evidence to be considered for the Co-Curricular Excellence category.

  • Certificates of Participation for extra-   curricular activities.
  • Letter of Reference from school educators documenting participation in extra-curricular activities.
  • Letter of Explanation along with photographs documenting participation in extra-curricular activities.
Undergraduate

Continued Academic
Excellence Awards

This category of award recognises the current FVI student for her/his outstanding academic performance in the last academic year for each intake. Outstanding academic performance refers to a CGPA of 3.67 and above in the last academic year.
  • Student must have scored the highest CGPA in the last academic year.
  • Student must have a minimum CGPA of 3.67 in the last academic year.
  • Student must have completed at least 30 credits in the last academic year.
  • Student should not be on any kind of academic/non-academic probation.
  • In case of a tie, UFV India reserves the right to take the final decision.

Opinder Dhaliwal, Academic Excellence Award

This scholarship was instituted in honour of a UFV India Alumnus, Opinder Dhaliwal, who was a student from 2010-2014. Throughout his academic journey, he had an outstanding academic record. We lost Opinder on December 15, 2015 due to unfortunate health complications.

In honour of his record-breaking academic performance, Opinder’s family and UFV India jointly announced a scholarship in his name on March 23, 2017.

This category of award recognizes a current FVI student for his/her outstanding academic performance in the last academic year across all undergraduate programs. Outstanding academic performance under ‘Opinder Dhaliwal, Academic Excellence Award’ refers to a CGPA of 4.03 and above (Opinder’s graduating CGPA) in the most recent academic year.

FAQs

Is there a limit to the number of scholarships a student can receive?
Incoming students can only qualify for one entrance scholarship category. However, returning students can qualify for Continued Academic Excellence Scholarships each year based on their performance.
Required documents typically include academic transcripts, proof of co-curricular achievements (if applicable), and a completed scholarship application form. Specific requirements may vary for each scholarship.

The entrance scholarship amount is typically deducted from the students tuition fee for the first year. The continued excellence scholarships are awarded at the Annual Awards Ceremony.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on their academic performance, meeting the specified CGPA or percentage criteria, and in some cases, their co-curricular achievements. The selection process is handled by the Academic Administration.
