This scholarship was instituted in honour of a UFV India Alumnus, Opinder Dhaliwal, who was a student from 2010-2014. Throughout his academic journey, he had an outstanding academic record. We lost Opinder on December 15, 2015 due to unfortunate health complications.
In honour of his record-breaking academic performance, Opinder’s family and UFV India jointly announced a scholarship in his name on March 23, 2017.
This category of award recognizes a current FVI student for his/her outstanding academic performance in the last academic year across all undergraduate programs. Outstanding academic performance under ‘Opinder Dhaliwal, Academic Excellence Award’ refers to a CGPA of 4.03 and above (Opinder’s graduating CGPA) in the most recent academic year.
