BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Jasvir Kaur Chahal has joined as Guest Faculty to teach Philosophy in UFV India’s Academic Program. She holds a PhD in Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr. Chahal has been a Fellow at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India and remained Dean, Faculty of Education there. She coordinated various syllabus framing committees of the University in Education, Educational Philosophy and Yoga. The University introduced first pre-PhD course in Education under her Deanship.

She has more than three decades of experience in teaching Educational Philosophy, Yoga Philosophy and Guidance and Counselling to the undergraduate and post graduate levels and is a Guest Faculty at LM Thapar School of Management, Derabassi, Punjab, India and Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology teaching Science of Learning and Ethics & Self Awareness respectively.

Dr. Chahal is involved in supervising doctoral level research and is currently on the panel of experts for a refereed journal in Education of a University.

She is a well-received speaker and has delivered, chaired and participated in numerous seminars, conferences, discussions and FDPs. She has published refereed articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings.

Educational Administration and Policy making has seen her participating as invited expert at National Knowledge Commission and Punjab State for Curricular Framework writing.
